About Arcona

Arcona Yachts UK are the sole agents for the UK and Ireland for this beautiful range of Swedish yachts. These easy to sail cruiser/racers epitomise the vision of Arcona in Sweden who have been building quality yachts for 30 years. The new generation of yachts began with the launch of the Arcona 400 which won Boat of the Year at the Stockholm Boat Show. This was followed by the successful Arcona 370 which won 'Boat of the Year' in Denmark, and finally the beautiful Arcona 460. We are launching the new Arcona 430 at the 2008 Southampton boat show. The Arcona 430 has been nominated for European boat of the year 2008/2009.

Construction

The success of the Arcona range is based upon the integrity of the construction, at the heart of which is a galvanised steel frame taking all the rig and keel loads. This is matched by the outstanding level of craftsmanship in the beautifully finished mahogany interiors. Our new yard at Kungshamn on Sweden's west coast and our Swedish-managed production facility on the Baltic island of Saaremaa deliver beautiful yachts at affordable prices.

Sailing and performance

These elegant boats are easy to sail in short-handed or family cruising mode, but have also proved their racing pedigree in the Baltic, the Solent and the Channel. The Arcona 370 in the current JOG offshore champion, and the Arcona 400’s swept the board on corrected time in the Gotlandrund 2008, finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the 80-strong ORC class.
